To the Nazis, she was A-17740.
To us, she is Miriam, a Holocaust survivor & grandmother of 10.
Miriam & her family were sent to Auschwitz in 1944. She was the only one who made it out alive.
We're the last generation to hear the stories firsthand. It is our duty to remember.

She must be some super woman, with tremendous grit and determination โค๏ธ. Those who haven't known the persecution stories wouldn't probably understand the deep pains & agony of a holocaust. Thanks for sharing, brother ๐๐๐๐

Unfortunately, it seems that the lesson has not been learned by humanity. The advance of the far-right points to a fearful and terrible setback for human rights, freedom and the rule of law.
