Alfred (Al) Münzer was born in the Netherlands in 1941. At one year old, Al was placed into the care of a Dutch-Indonesian family for his protection. After liberation, Al’s mother, who survived several concentration camps including Auschwitz, returned and they were reunited.

@StephenUzzell2 Mr. Münzer’s mother was a strong person, I cannot imagine the grief she felt while being separated from her son. I would be interested to know how all these families found each other again?

@StephenUzzell2 There are so many sad stories that it’s nice to hear one with a happier ending. His mother must have been a strong woman to make it through all of those camps.

@StephenUzzell2 God Bless them. I read the history of some of the ppl who were victims/survivors of the holocaust and still can't wrap my head around how 1 man was able to invade so many countries and commit the inhumane atrocities upon millions of ppl. So incredibly evil to its core.
