FINAL: Idaho 83, Washington State 81. Cougs came roaring back but the Vandals hold on for their first men's basketball win in the Battle of the Palouse since 2017. Ugbo's tip was off the mark at the buzzer for the Cougs.

"Idaho Vandals" chants just broke out at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. Vandals lead the Cougs 78-65 with 4:34 to play in the Battle of the Palouse.

Halftime: Idaho 43, Wazzu 34. Vandals led the whole first half. Jack Payne and Kristian Gonzalez have 8 points for UI; Tomas Thrastarson with 9 for WSU. WSU will need to find some answers defensively in the second half if its going to extend its winning streak in this series.

Midway through the first period, Idaho has led the whole way. Vandals up 21-15. Kristian Gonzalez has eight points to lead all scorers.
