-HUGE FNAF LORE REVEAL-
The new Tales from the Pizzaplex book has revealed the identity of Burntrap's corpse: It's not William Afton, but a teenager named Kelly. Confirming once and for all that The Mimic is Burntrap.

When the Pizzaplex was under construction. The company wanted the abandoned Pizza Place from FNaF 6 turned into a museum. The Mimic endoskeleton was put inside a van, and the workers wanted to use it to help them clean the place.
The Mimic is now described as if it "survived a fire" and has now a new, shiny head with rabbit ears. The endoskeleton was programmed to break the limbs and heads of other endoskeleton parts that were in the location and to pile them up. However it started to do that with humans.
all of this mimic debate is reminding me how the fnaf fandom in 2017 just completely ignored the twisted ones having william afton say “my name is springtrap” and instead continued to believe michael was springtrap because “that was the books and not the games”.

I don’t think the books are 1:1 canon (ik hot take kill me). The way I see it the mimic (glitchtrap) merged with the dead body of William and that’s how burntrap exist
