The dark knight trilogy did so much damage to the public’s perception of Batman to the point people actually think Batman has to be a self serious man who is brooding and dose not crack jokes .

@SpiderKen1995 DK didn’t do that, Batman and Robin did lol Remember “fun” Batman was universally panned, and it took a completely new direction for that character to fundamentally change his public perception. BnR was so bad that it killed Bats for nearly a decade.

@SpiderKen1995 But BatB Batman didn't make jokes. He made one-liners and maybe some banter, but no quips or anything like that and it was alway serious in intonation even if it was actually silly (i.e. "Hammers of Justice").
