I’m all for wildlife before people get their knickers in a twist but today I witnessed first hand what damage Beavers can do. Over a 300 metre stretch there were five dams which has resulted in five acres of the farms potatoes being flooded and written off. #eyeopener

2023 potato harvest , IFA quoting 60% still to be lifted. Stress and strain on growers is now concerning. Growers have high cost outlays still stuck in ground. Bacterial breakdown, skin disease and overall quality will be a challenge in storage.@farmersjournal @IFAmedia

@Minette_Batters Good morning Minette. As I warned when you visited South Holland, you’re not reading the room over the dissatisfaction with @RTfarmers. The organisation is running amok and wreaking havoc. Without radical reform/disbandment you risk destroying NFU membership 1/2

Potato seed potentially short this year. Quality offered could be lower. Watch out for irresponsible breeders and suppliers who ignore the basics and sell unfit product like @MeijerSeed and then refuse to even correspond with you to discuss your concerns. Disgraceful.
