So many communities have been putting up with absentee owners who are happy to sit on a derelict property and let it decay and fall down. It is the equivalent of showing 2 fingers to a local community by the owner and the local authority. @KerryCounty.

Portmagee village on the left bank, used to be known as "An Caladh", "the Ferry". The bridge to Valentia Island replaced the ferry in 1970 but you know you're hearing a local of a certain vintage when they tell you they're "from the ferry". #Skelligcoast.
