@scul40928 @StinkyFart44 @_VioMarks_ The problem is that in 5 or 10 years that it’s going to be super difficult to prove something isn’t AI If it becomes indistinguishable from real recorded footage you can either massively delay court cases or out right dismiss certain evidence by saying it’s AI generated

I think AI should be banned in it's entirely at this point, because right now, we just hit the point of no return. This is the worst it's ever going to look, and I am horrified at where it'll go from here on.

this could be the "holy shit" moment of AI. OpenAI has just announced Sora, its text-to-video AI model. This video isn't real, it's based on a prompt of "a cat waking up its sleeping owner demanding breakfast..." 🤯

@StinkyFart44 @_VioMarks_ Yeah because a technology that can generate false evidence would never get abused right

@scul40928 @StinkyFart44 @_VioMarks_ Yeah, which is why ideally we would’ve had laws in place to prevent this scenario but lawmakers will probably get around to that 10 years from now when it’s already too late haha I wonder how you could even prove something isn’t AI generated in the future though

@Siofra_Mariner @scul40928 @StinkyFart44 @_VioMarks_ All you gotta do is determine who the camera guy is OR go back to the database that holds these recordings and verify it is factual. Not as big of a deal
