@HongkongersUK is grateful for the invitation from @RoyalFamily to the Garden Parties for coronation at Buckingham Palace, I'm honoured to join with community organisers to present a painting with pro-democracy message from exiled artists, @lumli_lumlong, to the King Charles III.

Relieved to see cross-party MPs debate our petition on keeping 5-year ILR for HK BN(O) visas. HK diaspora brings culture, economy & moral compass to ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง : govt must listen. We know the risks of Chinaโ€™s autocracy, & we still hold the torch for democracy. ๐Ÿ‘‰

We urge the Government to exempt BN(O) visa for Hongkongers from the proposed immigration reforms. We think the current ILR terms must remain unchanged: 1. Five years of UK residency 2. B1 level...

@HongkongersUK assesses the proposed UK Extradition Act amendment poses no increased risk to the society. It removes Hong Kong from Part 2 territories, placing it with China & North Korea. โš–๏ธ Still, HKB urges safeguards under Sec 194. ๐Ÿ”ฝ See details below. #HongKong #UKLaw

๐ŸŽฐ Itโ€™s over 20 years since the Gambling Act came into effect - and in a fast-changing world, itโ€™s overdue a revamp. Local communities deserve a say over how their high streets look and feel, especially when it comes to new gambling premises. Weโ€™re backing #PeopleBeforeProfits.

Everyone deserves to feel safe where they live. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ We're working with residents and our local Police teams to get weapons off the streets, clamp down on gangs, and provide pathways for Brent's young people away from crime. Here's how ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ“ฐ https://t.co/HiC7Uzs515

We are living in a world where diplomacy is no longer led by values but by transaction. In the face of a rising tide of realpolitik, liberal democracies, including the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, must reclaim a diplomacy that is based not only on what is expedient, but on what is right. ๐ŸŒโš–๏ธ#June4

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ36 years after Tiananmen, the world talks deals, not dignity. Freedom is bartered, conscience side-lined. We must remember those who stood before tanks โ€” and demand a diplomacy led by values, not transactions.๐Ÿงญ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ #June4 #Tiananmen36 #NeverForget #HongKong

Spoke at the inquiry on the CCP Embassy proposal, where pro-Beijing staffers were mobilised to attend. They smirked & shook their heads at any mention of state oppression against Chinese people. This vibe seeps into the indifferent UK bureaucracy, after a top-level call with Xi.

Firmly shook @Keir_Starmerโ€™s hand, had a meaningful chat & I made it clear: weโ€™re not doing enough for #HongKong and Human Rights. Sad to see fellow activists risking everything outside Royal Mint Court. This only strengthens our resolve to tell PM must stand FIRM on our values.

Met @Keir_Starmer at @10DowningStreet ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง. The PM was eager to engage. The Lunar New Year should be a time for family reunions, but many dissidents are denied this in prison or exile. We stressed that this occasion is fundamentally humanitarian. @HongkongersUK #Freedom #Rights

At 10 Downing Street's Lunar New Year event, @SimonChengUK @Chloe_chc_25 & HKDC's @carmenkamanlau spoke with @Keir_Starmer about #HongKong's #PoliticalPrisoners including #JimmyLai as well as the proposed Chinese super-embassy in London. The PM said he was aware of these issues.

two arrests, one unwell, and much of a key junction in central London blocked by police. The traffic assessment, funded by Chinese authorities n submitted to the Met Police, which led to their U-turn, has been proven utterly flawed. I will present this to the planning inspector.

Keeping thousands of protesters in order at the highly volatile site of the proposed Chinese mega-embassy should not justify rolling out the red carpet for autocracy into an excessively grand palace. The restricted protest space has already put both police and protesters at risk.

Diplomatic premises are for mutual respect, not excessive grandeur. These unelected CCP officials monopolise the state but suppress the peopleโ€™s will. We'll protest on 8 Feb, 14:00-16:00, at Old Royal Mint. We must safeguard democracy, transparency, and the rights of locals.

While Labour AM & cross-party councillors reflect locals, the UK central government signals an intervention before the inquiry starts, worryingly. Xiโ€™s call mustn't dictate UK's future. The proposed embassy is more a glorified monument for CCP diplomats than a functional space.

81 and counting. The sheer number of betting shops opening in Brent is a scandal - and it's a scandal this council has been powerless to stop for far too long. ๐Ÿ“ƒ Yet another application has come into the council, but we need the powers to say enough's enough. Here's how:
