It's good to hear that
@PeterDutton_MP
thinks turning up is an important part of leadership on Indigenous issues
Because I remember when he walked out on the apology to the stolen generation
Now he's walking out on The Voice
His actions speak louder than words

That apology has helped so many people in soooo many ways. Oh wait there seems to be just as many problems now as there was then! Thatโs what happens when you do symbolic things instead of real stuff. Just like this embarrassing symbolism ๐๐Fancy walking out on symbolism!
@SimonBanksHB
@PeterDutton_MP
You lot are arrogant, way too busy putting down the former government instead of listening to the indigenous voice of Alice locals who demand extreme measures. This problem can only be solved with grass roots action not VS apologies and constitutional changes.

Simon,
Dutton needs to be investigated for the Paladin and Canstruct non tendered contracts.
Throw in Aspen as well, but I don't think that was his brief.
But it will surely uncover no complaint processes.
@SimonBanksHB
@PeterDutton_MP
Pity the media don't join the dots on his behaviour. Nor his involvement in the
#robodebt
suicides/ illegal debt notices. Can't wait to see what the
#NACC
makes of his "receiving Commonwealth funds while a Minister". In his wife's name or trust is irrelevant.

1. Dutton asked Albanese to Alice but Albo went alone.
2. Dropping the cashless card has exacerbated this issue.
3. Why didn't Albanese speak to Alice Spring's residents?
4. Why doesn't the Albanese gov listen to the indigenous voice

Dutton was part of the Morrison Cabinet which ignored warnings from Aboriginal groups and let alcohol restrictions lapse last year.
If The Voice had existed Dutton would have been forced to consult with Aboriginal people.
Now Albanese has to fix Dutton's mess.

"I rise tonight not to sing any sanctimonious hallelujahs, but merely to say that at long last another step is being taken to give these people appropriate status. In my town we simply live with these people."

Let's look at whose actions are now coming back to haunt them! An indigenous voice is only any good if you listen to it, history shows that Labor didn't and now Alice and the rest of the NT reaps what the disastrous outcomes
