1/ Delighted to host @SenatorDurbin for a discussion on our @UChicagoLaw clinic's Freedom Denied report findings, the federal access-to-counsel crisis, and eliminating the presumption of detention for drug charges.
Stopped by @UChicagoLaw’s Federal Criminal Justice Clinic today – the nation’s first legal clinic devoted to representing indigent clients charged with federal felonies. Their work is an important part of our mission to build a fair justice system for all.

Deeply honored to be awarded this endowed chair. I am very grateful to the pioneering Lillian E. Kraemer for her support of @UChicagoLaw and especially of our students who pursue public interest careers and pro bono endeavors.
@SieglerAlison has been named the Lillian E. Kraemer Clinical Professor in Public Interest Law. Siegler leads the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic (FCJC), the nation’s first clinic devoted to representing low-income clients charged with federal felonies.

Loved having the chance to meet new Federal Public Defenders from across the country at the Baby Defender orientation seminar last week and train them on zealously litigating pretrial release using our @UChicagoLaw Federal Crim Justice Clinic’s study:
