No one asked, but from what I've seen so far, the Halo remake is probably gonna be *fine*. Some negatives, some positives, some cool additions, some odd ones. Solid 8/10 experience that doesn't improve on CE but sorta reminds people it existed. Meh.

And the Ryu missions at the end that amounted to 'play these three or four missions and boss fights over again but with a different character' feels 100% like they were trying to just pad out the game length a bit. Still better than NG3 at least.

So now that it's been a few weeks... Ninja Gaiden 4 was kinda meh right? Combat was alright, environments kinda sucked, puzzles sorta sucked, sort of a lack in enemy variety, weapons were functionally the same, etc.

The funny thing is that, outside of the Crowbcats of the world, I don't think anyone asked for any of that shit. If they more or less took RDR 1, gave it some polish, and made that RDR 2, it would have done just as well AND probably had more content.
a certain half of the community is genuinely fucking insufferable and toxic every new game that comes out is compared to either rdr2 or rdr1 in terms of 'muh hyperrealism' so now we got 8 year development hells because we gotta make sure the average realism bootlicker >

In Halo 2, you don't actually "destroy" the Scarab. You kill the pilots and it explodes in a cutscene. For @RubyofBlue's Halo 2: REBALANCE, I created a new power core for the player to destroy! Note that this is a work in progress, and not final. Concept art from early 2023.
