I don’t care how good a recruiting class is or what a players rating is,PLAYING hard and competing is a learned trait. Coaches need to redefine playing hard to freshman. Some take it as criticism not coaching. The next step is playing well as a team and to your strengths

@SethOnHoops I would imagine 4 and 5 star recruiting classes can come with plenty of ego as well. Takes some finesse as a coach to harness that and create team play.

@SethOnHoops Understand why issues at Arizona with Miller (public call out by coach says lots about his style) but no reason why players can't play D at Duke. They came to Duke to play for K, need to show more Wojo and start slapping the floor

@SethOnHoops I wonder who are the best coaches at identifying upside, style fit, and other intangibles of a recruit. For me, I've been taught skill and fundamentals translate. i.e. Curry. Don't always judge by ppg. In HS ball can be very deceiving. Look @ efficiency

@SethOnHoops @WGale34 Absolutely agree. Kids want to know how to play the game correctly. I believe it begins much earlier than 9th grade.
