Today I filed to continue my representation of Cabarrus County in the NC Senate for District 34. I look forward to continuing my service to make taxes lower, government more efficient, our streets safer and schools stronger. #ncpol

Yesterday our community was afflicted with tragedy but today we came together for Concord's 97th Christmas parade to spread holiday cheer. I was honored to be part of the parade as well, riding in my 1931 Ford Model A.

Tonight there was a shooting in the vicinity of Concord Christmas Tree Lighting. I have spoken to Cabarrus officials and am monitoring the situation. Police have secured the area and now we await details. Thankful for first responders who come to our aid during times of crisis.

Most of the time I’m bragging on NC, but not this time. Our biggest city has seen some of the biggest property tax hikes in the country. High property taxes are part of why homeownership is out of reach for so many working people these days, especially my generation.

I am honored to be a 2025 Jobs Champion with a 100% rating from the NC Chamber. The A+ I received was based on votes protecting workers, expanding employment opportunities and enhancing North Carolina’s position as a top state for business.

Wow. Democrats got caught faking their crowd sizes for No Kings Day. 😅 They lied and said 7 million people came out to protest President Trump.

Yesterday I voted for Iryna’s Law to strengthen requirements for releasing criminals back on the street. The court system failed by letting Decarlos Brown out to continue his crime spree. The Senate passed HB 307 yesterday and I urge the House to swiftly pass it today as well.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the murder of Charlie Kirk whose life was taken while exercising his right to free speech. Political violence cannot be tolerated and I pray the killer is caught and brought to justice. Please pray for the Kirk Family, our state and country.

The violent death of Iryna Zarutska by serial criminal Decarlos Brown is a result of soft on crime policies. Public safety isn’t something we should take lightly and I hope the current policies are revisited so violent criminals are kept off the streets.

Cabarrus County will soon open an additional DMV office with the passing of HB125. I have advocated for a second DMV office to alleviate the frustration and unacceptable wait times when visiting the DMV.

Decidedly unimpressive for the supposed Democratic juggernaut. And this is as good as it’s going to get for him.

Yesterday I voted to override Gov Stein’s veto of HB 805, to uphold the dignity & safety of NC's girls who will no longer be forced to share bedrooms with boys on overnight trips. NC Republicans continue to be the leaders who stand up for the rights of females.
