This comes after articles were released stating that the publisher was planning on layoffs and *project cancellations* to save money

If it actually is the team being gutted, seeing the game barely even reach parity with the first and still missing new stuff like interstellar travel and colony building as shown in the trailer is incredibly disappointing.
