@Secretariatprmr I loved Secretariat. I've had the good fortune to observe five Triple Crown winners in my life time; Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, American Pharoah, and Justify.

@Secretariatprmr He was put down because of laminitis. 😢😢😢. I didn’t find out about his death till months later! I watched all his Triple Crown races live on TV!

@Secretariatprmr died on the same date that Phar Lap was born 63 years earlier, both affectionately referred to as the Big Red, both descendants of the 1790 born Alexander Mare
