For writers and creators looking to build their audience organically, it doesn't get better than Twitter.
In just 30 days I went from 0-150k impressions, 20k+ profile visits, 312 new followers, and 100+ added to my email list.

1/ Tweet 5-7x+ a day
โIf you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.โ - Stephen King.
Top Twitter writers are prolific creators. They don't worry about getting every tweet perfect.
They just write and publish consistently.
2/ Like, comment, and RT peers daily
Twitter is a two-way street.
Want people to engage with you? Engage with them.
Want people to take an interest in you? Take an interest in them.
Top Twitter writers like, comment, and retweet ideas from their peers everyday.
3/ Be polarizing
Pick a side and plant your flag.
I call this the "Donald Trump Effect". He was a master at using polarization to create passionate, loyal fans.
Top Twitter writers are not afraid to share their ideas and opinions even if it ruffles some feathers.
4/ Make people "feel" something
When they write, they evoke emotions in you.
Joy, rage, optimism, frustration, pride, humor, lust, fear, inspiration. You will never feel indifferent.
Top Twitter writers want you to feel some type of way with every tweet.
5/ Write with conviction
They believe what they write, and write with conviction.
They call it how they see it and are unapologetic about it.
They don't use phrases like "I think" or "in my opinion".
Top Twitter writers say "this is what it is, so listen up."
6/ Use simple but descriptive words
You're never guessing what they're trying to say.
They use words that are clear, descriptive, and understood.
Plug their writing into Hemingway app and it'll come back at a 3rd-5th grade level.
No room for error or confusion.
7/ Mix information with entertainment
Top Twitter writers are masters at "infotainment".
Yes they share a ton of value. But they make it entertaining to read.
How?
Stories, being funny, stirring the pot, being unpredictable, making predictions, and giving interesting facts.
Twitter is unusual because it's not a new platform, but the organic reach would have you fooled.
IG+FB had sharp declines in organic reach and pages can barely get 5-10% of their followers to see their content.
But on Twitter, it's a different ballgame.
You could have 100 followers and have a tweet that gets 20k, 50k, 100k+ impressions.
It's what happened to me and can happen to you too... if you follow these 7 habits of highly successful Twitter writers.
