@ScriptingJapan I think it’s oposite but Sci-Fi uses more Kanji to shorten the term than Fantasy… SF 振動剣光線銃波動砲荷電粒子砲重力子放射線射出装置機動戦士 FF ラグナロクエクスカリバーグングニルマサムネ …even kanji name often written in Katakana in fantasy games.
