@ScriptingJapan I think it’s oposite but Sci-Fi uses more Kanji to shorten the term than Fantasy… SF 振動剣 光線銃 波動砲 荷電粒子砲 重力子放射線射出装置 機動戦士 FF ラグナロク エクスカリバー グングニル マサムネ …even kanji name often written in Katakana in fantasy games.
