These findings suggest that low-dose stimulant medication could be an effective strategy for augmenting rTMS treatment of major depression. Prospective clinical trials will be necessary to test the safety and efficacy of this strategy (5/5).

3) For amphetamine class stimulants there was sufficient data to demonstrate a potential dose-response relationship. Subjects taking lower dosages had the greatest improvement in their depressive symptoms when treated with standard rTMS (4/5).
