🚨IS THIS THE MOMENT THE SCOTTISH ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL DIED? MSPs have voted to remove conscientious objection, after it was ruled out of Holyrood’s scope. The Bill now contains NO protections for healthcare professionals. Surely MSPs cannot support the Bill at its final vote?

Under Section 15 of McArthur’s Bill, a doctor may now “assist the adult to ingest or otherwise use the substance”, without the previous explicit prohibition on administering the substance. Does this allow them to press the syringe button or push a pill down a person’s throat?

In 2015 we were told the @scotgov would sort #PalliativeCare before it debates this again - they have not and last night we learn there is no money in the budget to do so. So where is the choice that the bill sponsor keeps promoting? @ScotParl needs to wake before it is to late.
