@NYCMetroFandom @SchomburgCenter Yep. My hometown does get it right every now and then. Granted, the black community in Indpls has had to fight to get anything preserved (Wes Montgomery Park, Crispus Attucks HS and museum, the Walker Theater, etc.), but it's always worth it.

@NYCMetroFandom Cool! I'll have to look up Cahokia. I try to visit historical/artistic spaces for PoC too, esp. Indigenous, African American, & Pacifika. My grandmother used to go to Motown revues at the Walker Theater. And once she fought a woman over Sam Cooke's towel at a concert. 😅
