Allies, as Native people we wear our hair long because our Ancestors couldn’t. Our women braid young men’s hair until they can themselves. In our societies, many wear their hair long to connect to generations before. It’s a cultural ceremony we still fight to keep alive.

@Scholar_Melinda Huh, Sikh males never cut their hair & wear turbans, yes I see the bigotry hurled at them but no cutting their hair and not murdered anywhere near the rate of Indigenous. Words totally fail me.
