@SVG__Collection Great records but you start surprisingly late in the history of jazz. Ok, you don’t want to go back to Armstrong or Basie. But what about Coleman Hawkins?

@craigjcalhoun True… He deserves a spot in this list for sure. But choices have to be made when limited to 25 records. Which one album would you recommend?

@SVG__Collection Good list but a little conservative. No Albert Ayler, Ornette Coleman, Alice Coltrane, Cecil Taylor, Horace Tapscott.

@SVG__Collection Kind of Blue is a masterpiece. When I wanted to try to understand jazz, I sought out this album to get started. If you reduce your jazz consumption only to Miles Davis, you will not be disappointed. He was one of the great musical masters and innovators of all time.
