Calling finance folks are such a pain in the ass. Never call them unprepared. When you are prepared you need to be succinct, technical in the fewest amount of words possible. One mess up and they hang up. It’s like cold calling on hard mode.

HPP Day 2 stats:. 767 dials. 5 connects:.2 Call Later.1 ask for info.2 meetings booked. It’s only 2 days but I’m seeing my connect rate sky rocket. I’m making less Dials and having more conversations.

If you don’t get a VISCERAL PRIMAL fucking reaction when the prospect accepts the meeting invite you don’t want it bad enough. When that β€œAccepted…” hits my inbox more dopamine floods my brain than any other drug. BOOK THAT SHIT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

Changing up my cold calling strat this week. ONLY targeting HPPs and looking to drive meaningful conversations. The system of one-shotting cold calls while ripping through the parallel dialer is unsustainable. Stats:.55 dials.7 connects.4 ask for info.2 objections.1 mtg booked.

On a dry streak these past couple weeks on the phones. I’ve shifted my outbound focuses more to email and LI, SPECIFICALLY on prospects I’ve already had convos with. It’s hard to spark new convos in the middle of peoples vacations (summertime) so focus on existing conversations!.

After working at a startup and working at a big co (startup about to IPO) it’s an absolute nightmare and day difference between quality of life. Infrastructure, support, teammates, resources, etc. all built out and planned for you in a big co.

Baby boomers are such a pleasure to cold call. Every boomer I’ve called has either told me to F off or they entertain the conversation cause they’re from a time where business happens over the phone. Call more boomers.

It’s been about a month since I posted, ran into some rough currents. Did NOT hit quota this June. TLDR:.1. Covid+vocal chords gone.2. Lost opps to internal politics.3. Close friend went brain dead. Despite the setbacks I’ve learned my lessons. Q3 is gonna be my bitch.

I had a convo on Friday with a prospect who left the company I’m going after but gave some absolute gold copy for my ICP. Always worth just having a conversation if they are open to it - even if it won’t result in a meeting.

Spent last weekend at a grad party, an engagement party and my boys wedding. Didn’t look at work stuff once. And I booked the most meetings I ever have in one week, this week. Disconnect, touch grass, celebrate friends, enjoy life. You’ll book more meetings.

How do you feel about sending gift cards to incentivize prospects to sit for a meeting?. IMO incentives are misaligned and you’ll lower the quality of the meeting. Maybe it works better as something unexpected like after the deal is signed?.
