On World Humanitarian Day, we pray for communities around the world affected by war and conflict, and for the people who are risking their lives to help them.

🧵5/8. Together the organisations continue to provide primary health care, mental health services, emergency cash assistance, hot food, and water and sanitation services when and how they can. Caritas Jerusalem carried out over 7,000 medical consultations from Jan to March 2025.

🧵4/8. Both continue to deliver assistance as and when they can, in the midst of the blockades and conflict, at great risk to themselves. The staff of both organisations are affected by the conflict like other civilians.

🧵3/8. Both have worked in the area for years, have expertise in healthcare and emergency assistance. Both have a networks of teams, stores, clinics and partners throughout Gaza.

🧵2/8. SCIAF supports the work of two Caritas partners in Gaza and the West Bank: Caritas Jerusalem and CRS (Caritas USA).
