Texans are tired. With 12 days left before early voting starts now is not the time to sit out. Primaries are more important than general elections. #txlege

“Here in Texas, voters can’t blame Democrats for our problems,” conservative Sarah Stogner writes. “We’ve been under one-party GOP rule for decades. The way Texans see it: You break it,...

If you’re spending your time explaining losses instead of listening to voters’ real concerns — schools, water, healthcare, local control — you might already be losing the plot.

A deep-red Texas Senate seat flipped in a county Republicans have owned for decades — and it wasn’t close. What happened? The numbers tell a different story than the excuses. 🧵👇

Thank you to the Austin American Statesman for listening to my platform and believing in my vision. It’s time for the blue collar rebellion to shake things up in Austin. #txlege

We need more conservatives who advance conservative policies. Like keeping the government out of our personal lives. Not candidates who want to subsidize private school for billionaires at the expense of our public schools. 1,000 new people move to Texas every day.
@dreamerintexas Maybe.

@scottbraddock My humble opinion, a unique candidate benefited from a refreshing non-partisan push on public schools, well in advance of this election. It seems like the strategic takeaway here for both political parties: Let TX candidates be TX candidates.

Do you want to know what really brought Dems & Reps together here in Tarrant County to vote against Leigh Wambsganns? Public Education. Patriot Mobile & Greg Abbott & @tarrantgop tried to screw over our kids & all of us moms & dads met at school board meetings & said NO MORE!

The GOP now insists on party loyalty. They can’t win unless they have loyalty. What about this instead? Quit dumping on public education. Quit taking away local control. Quit passing laws to make government bigger. Quit spending our surplus on pet projects for out of state
GOP has to figure out how to win without Trump on the ballot — but this special election would have been won already were it not for a split ticket during the first round. Anyone discounting this hasn’t paid enough attention to weigh in. I don’t GAF about your feelings, those are

Leigh didn’t get any votes from @JohnRHuffman’s voters. It’s because Tarrant County conservatives are pissed at what the @tarrantgop has become & this is their way of saying we’ve had enough.
@DLoesch Dana, there was no split in this election tonight. But you know that. It was the run off from the special election in the fall. And Leigh didn’t pick up a single one of Huffman’s R voters from the special election. November vs. Tonight’s election. ⬇️

@CatParksTX @scottbraddock This election was about public education and the assault that Republicans and conservatives have had on it. Some of us have been screaming about it.

Oh look, some enterprising reporter spent a bunch of time with the Taylor Rehmet campaign and wrote about it in the context of Tarrant County as both a political belwether and hub of the far right!
Taylor Rehmet hopes a coalition of unions, blue collar workers, progressives and disaffected republicans will fuel a stunning upset in Texas Senate District 9, a +17 Trump district and hub of Christian nationalism. We'll find out tonight if he's right. https://t.co/F1QMok7Xjz
