We need more conservatives who advance conservative policies. Like keeping the government out of our personal lives. Not candidates who want to subsidize private school for billionaires at the expense of our public schools. 1,000 new people move to Texas every day.

@scottbraddock My humble opinion, a unique candidate benefited from a refreshing non-partisan push on public schools, well in advance of this election. It seems like the strategic takeaway here for both political parties: Let TX candidates be TX candidates.

Republicans did not lose the TX SD-9 runoff because of low GOP turnout: they lost because almost all of the independents and some of the Republicans voted Dem. Of those who voted in the TX SD-9 runoff, 50%+ were GOP primary voters or at GOP HH; only 35% were Dems or at Dem HH

The GOP now insists on party loyalty. They can’t win unless they have loyalty. What about this instead? Quit dumping on public education. Quit taking away local control. Quit passing laws to make government bigger. Quit spending our surplus on pet projects for out of state

Leigh didn’t get any votes from @JohnRHuffman’s voters. It’s because Tarrant County conservatives are pissed at what the @tarrantgop has become & this is their way of saying we’ve had enough.
