Secretary Hegseth’s partisan attempt to use the military justice system against @SenMarkKelly is an outrageous abuse of power. This is political retribution straight from the autocrat playbook. It has no place in America. And it won’t work.

If Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and democracy are all negotiated by Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Moscow without Ukraine then that is not a ‘deal’ at all. It would make Ukraine, America, and our allies less safe.

Pres. Trump’s politicization of the U.S. military could haunt us for generations. My Republican colleagues must do more than just recognize the problem. We must take concrete legislative action.

The Pentagon press corps plays a vital role in holding military leaders accountable. Hegseth’s effort to censor reporters is an affront to the military’s tradition of integrity and to the First Amendment.

Pete Hegseth has set a 5PM deadline for media organizations to agree to unprecedented new restrictions on their coverage. Dozen of prominent outlets — including conservative ones — have said they'll refuse to sign: WaPo, NYT, Newsmax, The Atlantic, WSJ, NPR, the Guardian, The

Every American should be alarmed that Pres Trump has decided he can wage secret wars against anyone he labels an enemy. Drug cartels must be stopped, but declaring war & ordering lethal military force without Congress or public knowledge - nor legal justification - is

The power to declare war belongs to Congress, not the president. These egregious killings are illegal and risk dragging America into war with Venezuela. Congress must hold President Trump accountable and stop this reckless abuse of power before it’s too late.

I support strong law enforcement in our communities and always will, but Trump’s National Guard deployment to DC and federalization of city police is misguided, unsupported by the facts, & could endanger your rights & civil liberties.

Nearly 2 years into this war, Netanyahu's move to seize Gaza City risks worsening the humanitarian crisis, delaying hostage returns, and killing any chance of peace. Hamas is defeated militarily – now we need a ceasefire, diplomacy, and a two-state solution.

Israeli PM Netanyahu must change course in Gaza. The current humanitarian crisis is unconscionable. We’re calling for: -A ceasefire + release of hostages -Real humanitarian aid, with oversight -A plan to rebuild Gaza without Hamas -And more. Full statement:

The Trump Admin. is unwise to prematurely insist Iran’s nuclear program was “obliterated” without clear evidence. This exaggerated claim is unnecessary & could weaken our future credibility & leverage against Iran. Americans deserve facts, not bluster. https://t.co/O7o2LMepQB

We need efficiency at the Dept. of Defense. But personnel decisions should be based on facts & analysis, not arbitrary percentages. Eliminating the positions of many of our most experienced officers without justification could cripple the military.
