Today we celebrate gender diversity & inclusion. We resist the oppressions of gender binaries. We acknowledge the stigmas that non-binary individuals face & validate the experiences of gender non-conforming folks. You are seen, you are heard, you are not alone.

End the cycle of blame. The only cause of sexual assault is someone choosing to sexually assault someone and they are the only one to blame. 4/4.

It takes an huge amount of courage to testify about your sexual assault in the courtroom knowing that these myths are still prevalent. In the Hockey Canada trial E.M. is facing these disgusting myths but we want her & all survivors to know you are not alone, we believe you. 3/4

They often also say that survivors can’t be trusted due to unreliable memories or false allegations. The truth? Trauma changes memory, they often come back in pieces over time. What survivors do remember IS TRUE & false reports are VERY RARE & almost never go to court. 2/4

#WeBelieveSurvivors. There are many (unfortunately still common) rape myths that survivors face in the courtroom. These myths often blame the survivor for their actions or responses instead of putting the blame where it belong - on the person who chose to assault someone. 1/4
