49th place at Milwaukee Regionals (9-2-3). SO @BodhiRobinson @SaumitTcg @Jakob_ef for all playing the 60 and doing pretty well too. Had fun using all the new Mega Evo cards!

9-5 at Pittsburg Regionals for 165th. A few Flareons and a few bricks v PultNoir threw a wrench in my plans. Thanks to @BodhiRobinson for the list and @julianG_835 for twinning it up with the 60.

Finished 8-3-2 with Dragapult at Atlanta Regionals for 127th place. Most non-wins were because I could have played better. SO @mattchuangg for same 60 and @Jakob_ef for gene tech

2/2 Priority registration for ICs Changes I don’t like: Much larger emphasis on ICs: more than double the points of regs is ridiculous. Regionals are only barely less difficult anyways Them trying their best to put regionals on dates that conflict with school 😡

Changes I like: CP scale is Reg/ICs: top 8 didn’t award enough in comparison before Pack prizing extended down New Swiss system: asymmetric yay + 6-2-1 was lame anyways Top 125: cause I got that grindset Bfl: emphasizes results more than before Cups: less points relatively now

With all this being said, people should be playing because of a love for the game and/or a strive to be the best, not because of a goal big pikachu gives you.

I’m not saying worlds should be harder or easier, but it’s cool if Pokémon has something meaningful the average player can achieve, especially if worlds invites becomes more difficult.

I think the reason many Pokémon competitors feel a worlds invite is the only thing to strive for is because meaningful accomplishments at majors are out of reach for most of the player base. An invite is more meaningful than day 2 or top 64, and more achievable than top 16 or cut
