Watch this it’s fascinating - I asked James Timpson what he’d do about prisons and sentencing if he was in charge. He believes only a third of prisoners in jail should definitely be there. He’s now in charge of prisons (but not sentencing).

For some kids the last year counts as an ACE. “The science, and especially the neuroscience, related to ACEs really connects the dots between adversity, toxic stress and mental health conditions that manifest in children and continue into adulthood.” https://t.co/flEkvbIL3Q

Our kids have been soaking it all in, taking on plenty of stress (in some cases, toxic stress) themselves.

Trauma has so many knock on effects and co-regulation is key
How can we, as professionals & services, hold the idea that traumatised children often become parents with Complex PTSD, who need the same co-regulation, empathy & bottom up approach as they did when they were young? #trauma

A lovely thing to do with your baby in tummy time. This type of learning play can also promote co-regulation as you chat and join in.
Place a variety of baby toys, from balls to blocks in a muffin tray. Then watch baby explore different sizes and textures as they discover the relationship between objects and spaces! Tips for #TummyTime: https://t.co/B6MM4wzbjj
