Cody Ponce set a KBO record with 252 strikeouts in 2025 His 8.4 WAR led KBO pitchers by a wide margin, and was second overall after Heroes 3B Sung-moon Song (8.7). He's a lock to win the Dong-won Choi Award and KBO MVP. His 1.89 ERA was also a record for KBO foreign pitchers

Munetaka Murakami obviously had the cracked out 2022 season and still has the higher ceiling, but Kazuma Okamoto has him beat with a 180 wRC+ compared to Murakami’s 162 since 2023.

Sal Frelick made an effort to take pictures with so many fans during the celebration tonight. As he walked along the warning track, he made sure anyone and everyone who wanted a picture, got one. In some cases he even asked fans if they wanted a picture. Really special by Sal.

The San Diego Padres have agreed to terms with 18-year-old Taiwanese right-hander pitcher Su Lan-Hong for a $750,000 bonus, per sources. Lan-Hong shone in the recently finished U-18 World Cup with a 94 MPH fastball and great command. (1.91 ERA, 7.1 IP, 14 SO).

RHP Tatsuya Imai will meet with the Seibu Lions at the end of the season to determine his future in MLB. The team is reportedly not planning to post him at this time and may offer him a 5-year, $13M+ deal to stay. Imai will become a domestic FA next year and an IFA in 2027.
