EK408 has passed Adelaide, now an estimated 35 mins from Melbourne. EK407 MEL-DXB has closed its gates, but no signs of 34 opening soon.

EK408 is the flight to watch to see if it’s diverted or not. Just hear someone on ATC say they expect runway 34 to not be clear until tomorrow. Would be surprised if 461 stays out all night. Is there a procedure that needs to occur to a runway when foam has been used?

I keep missing the call sign but there is an aircraft at the gate waiting to depart that is having great trouble understanding that 34 is closed and that there is no estimated time for its reopening….. Well done ATC for being so patient
