I often find myself simultaneously both immensely proud of some of my Stopfordian roots as well as profoundly embarrassed... I thought it couldn't get more pathetic than the pink laminate cards to walk through the station @StockportMBC @AndyBurnhamGM @MayorofGM @greatermcr
Edgeley entrance to Stockport has been shuttered for two weeks owing to it being broken. Station staff have done all they can reporting. One of the busiest Railway stations in a region of one of the most developed countries in the world & a entrance door takes this long to fix.

Spent three years looking at the hurdles to tackling this:
โArup and RICS have calculated that more than 50% of the whole-life carbon emitted by a house is during construction. This means most of the environmental damage of a home is done in the first few months of a buildingโs life, but is oft ignoredโ https://t.co/7IjrHl6uP3

We talk about the #EmbodiedCarbon of materials, but what about their โembodied justiceโ? Does their manufacture cause pollution for specific communities? Do they contribute to the exploitation of migrant workers? https://t.co/SRj2Fv1hWN
