v Lions game I decided to get some breakfast at a local diner. As I sat there, some guy called Bryan who was sat next to me at the bar asked for me to pass him something.

But turns out this Bryan guy who I met by chance, was Bryan Nehring, the Assistant Equipment Manager at the Green Bay Packers and has been for over 40 years.
People like Bryan is the reason the Packers is such a special team and place.

He was clearly busy but he gave me his business card and told me "if I ever need anything or come back to Green Bay, make sure to email me." I thanked him and returned to my seat. Unfortunately the Packers lost but being a fan is about being there through the good and bad.

He went up to pay & as he was walking out he said "your meal is on the Green Bay Packers today. Enjoy the game and if you can, come say hi to me at section 118 at Lambeau. You will see me on the pitch. I'm Bryan and have been working at the Packers for over 40 years."

So I attended the game. And just before kick-off I noticed Bryan pitch-side. Helping move equipment and throwing balls to the likes of Aaron Rodgers in the warm-up. I got his attention & we spoke for a minute or two. I made sure to thank him for getting my breakfast.

Forget results or trophies for a minute.
Leinster's biggest achievement this year is creating a place where the likes of Nick & Jack Dunne feel comfortable being who they are.
As for Nick, I'm just lucky to say he's my friend. He's an absolute champion!

As I did, he noticed my accent & got talking to me. So we talked about the Packers & the upcoming match. He was impressed I'd travelled from Ireland to come to a game. I explained it was on my bucket list and I simply had to come over for a game.

I then asked him about what he did in Green Bay and he said he worked in "a local business and have done so for 40+ years." I complemented his longevity while he gave me a run down of the Packers' history and the local area. He finished his brunch and said goodbye to me.

Premiership clubs work with a budget of around €5 million give or take.
Leinster have over double this at around €11 million.
I genuinely feel having a salary cap is one of the things holding rugby back on a global scale.

Biggest winner this weekend was Schools Rugby.
Gutted to see St. Michaels lose to Blackrock but my word, what a game and atmosphere.
Spare a thought to the losing side however, the squad and staff put in 15-20hrs of work a week since July, and it's now over.
