In moments of crisis, first responders always move toward the danger. Our military, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs put everything on the line for our communities.  We will always stand with those who serve and protect. We owe them our deepest gratitude every single day.

Just as our federal workers aren’t getting paid, I have asked the House of Representatives to withhold my compensation for the duration of the shutdown.
