Gov't reopening? A reminder that the Build America Caucus is leading 30 bipartisan members to pass historic housing reform in the House. We’ve got to get modernized housing rules, smarter environmental review & local land-use incentives moving. https://t.co/zva8vJhFc1

Why I am voting no on the pathetic Republican funding bill.

I'm a HELL NO on this pathetic deal coming out of the Senate. Let's be clear - Chuck Schumer surrendered & now premiums are going to skyrocket for millions of Americans. Democrats need to grow a backbone & keep fighting to actually fix this crisis. Families can’t afford any less.

What does PG&E have to hide?! We have to make sure that the PUBLIC utilities hold PUBLIC meetings!

Pam and I know how hard it is to raise kids while also taking care of a sick parent. It’s incredibly challenging. Working on a bill to help the millions of parents caring for multiple generations. More to come soon!

Health care premiums are skyrocketing, but sure, a $300 million ballroom is a top priority!

Longest shutdown in government history. Kids missing meals. Veterans missing out on benefits. Workers going without pay. This has gone on long enough. Open the government!

The Supreme Court needs to end this trade war ASAP. My statement on today’s hearing:

Kids are missing meals while politicians fight about a shutdown. Disgraceful.

More efficiency, faster grid connectivity, and lower rates across the board is exactly the kind of energy win-win-win we need.
I have a @nytimes op-ed today on managing power demand growth w/out driving up rates. Central point: load growth is an opportunity to *offset* upward pressure on rates, if we plan the system to make fuller use of infrastructure we’ve already paid for.

SNAP benefits are not a political football politicians can play around with. This is about whether parents can feed their kids! 100,000 ppl in my community need to know if they are going to have food this week. This isn't a game, this is real life for our neighbors!

PG&E’s corruption in Sacramento is out of control. I’m working on a bill to end the secret lobbying and actually hold PG&E accountable.

Grateful that new funding for SNAP and CalFresh is being unlocked to keep families fed in the Valley. No one in the fruit and nut basket of the world should be going hungry because of political games and government failures. We need to fully fund these programs ASAP.
