I don't know who needs to hear this, but "trying harder" is never going to cure your ADHD.

it is very clear that the vast majority of people still genuinely think that adhd is just a minor annoyance and it’s like no my brain physically never stops, i am unable to do things, i am constantly overwhelmed, it’s not just “no big deal” !!!!!!

A useful comic primer on accessibility overlays and why they are bad:

Semantic HTML. Everyone making websites can understand the basics.

It can be WCAG compliant but completely unusable.

If an autistic person tells you “please don’t speak to me like that” it is not an invitation to argue with them as to why the way you’re speaking to them is fine. It doesn’t matter if you feel misunderstood. We are so often on the brink, and just begging not to be shoved off.

Went to an ADHD discussion group about Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (an ADHD symptom where we are more sensitive and feel pain when being rejected) last night, and the main thing I took away was: RSD has a PROFOUND effect on all areas of ADHDers' lives.

Yesterday’s #ADHD tax was 90€ for the items I left in the loading bay at IKEA after promptly forgetting they existed when trying to fit everything in the car. Best part is as I moved the mirror out the way to stop it being knocked over, I said to myself “don’t forget about this“
