The global status of leopard sharks (Stegostoma tigrinum) was recently assessed by the @IUCNRedList in 2023 & the latest update published just several days ago. The species remains #Endangered (EN) based on the A2bcd criteria. ๐๐ผ Full assessment here: https://t.co/ujFMzplNQM

Hey Australian shark scientists, does anyone recognize these dart tags? Just found by a fish processor on a spinner (green) and tiger (yellow) shark. They are not ours (at least from my time in WA), could they be from the east coast? @SharkColin what do you think?

Nesha Ichida has helped build the ReShark program from the ground up. Sheโs helped construct the life support systems for the shark hatcheries, trained the aquarists, watched the first pups hatch and monitored their growth before releasing them into marine-protected waters.
