It is finally HERE!!!! Our work from @guptalabunc in @Nature on how DNA damage is transduced from the nucleus to cGAS! So incredibly thankful to @guptalabunc for entrusting me with this mammoth project through my PhD!! Over 10 years and more in the making!!!

The precancer microenvironment (PME) is related to - yet distinct from - the tumor microenvironment (TME). All studies on precancer biology & progression should incorporate a detailed assessment of the PME. In many respects, this is the linchpin for enabling cancer interception.

4 years ago, I received a stethoscope from @UMichMedSchool. It has served as a constant reminder that in order to heal, we must listen. Grateful to learn from mentors committed to listening and uplifting the communities we serve - in clinic, in the OR, and in our research.
