Neil's latest title from Osprey - a must have for anyone interested in the Luger! We are pleased to say we helped him and his team with a special range day so he kindly sent us a couple of copies. We are always happy to design a bespoke day.

Our French Hotchkiss feed belt after a sympathetic clean up and before, as bought last weekend. Interestingly the rounds are 1940 dated but are original to it as they were seized solid in there until judicious amounts of WD40 freed them!

As well as buying from the public RDF also maintain extensive contacts amongst the Antiques trade down here in SW France and that's just how we acquired this huge 21cm 1917 German howitzer case today. In perfect, untouched order it'll be at Ciney late next month.

US Army 1873 Trowel bayonet. An interesting solution to the problem of providing an entrenching tool for infantry. While well met by some troops, ultimately it fell short as both bayonet & tool. The invention, engineering & ingenuity behind military kit development is fascinating

A fairly common brocante find over here as large numbers of these Sten speed Reloaders were dropped to the Resistance in with Stens, mags & ammo. This is our most recent one and we normally have a few kicking around.

Another WW1 French Adrian we picked up today. In need of a good clean it is complete down to the guys last four of his Army number. It will join our others for UK autumn shows.

Saw this van at a brocante &Yes it's a civ truck but it was used by Wehrmacht - check out the sand paint.Retains wartime gas fuel system & is remarkably orig as it's a barn find! Seems Resistance captured it back. Stuff like this survives here due to many empty agricultural bdgs.

Small arms of the Royal Navy at Trafalgar. 18th Century cutlass, the iconic Pattern 1804 “double disc hilt” cutlass, and a Sea Service flintlock pistol. As the Scottish collector of antique arms and armour Robert Lyons Scott put it, “the real fighting stuff”

A nice little lot of French colonial wars items we picked up this week. The two unopened packs of cigs are period French military issue and the ribbons include a medal for service in Algeria, any ideas on the others please? They are for sale.

A nice pre-war German Elastolin collection we purchased this morning. Some of the rarer figures and in superb condition. The collection was gathered post-war by a British soldier then serving in Germany.

Another nicely patinated, '43 dated Patronenkasten 41 MG34/42 gunners tin. Great paint and very faint traces of pale green camo over spray in some areas. This was part of the big haul from the show at Neurvic - see earlier post. Look out for it next month in the UK.
