How about a pile of pancakes for breakfast this Saturday? That's when our Explorers will fire up the griddle at our Water Patrol Station (5 S. Owasso Blvd. in Little Canada). They start serving at 9 a.m. Runs until noon. Costs $10. Supports the Explorer Program.

ARRESTED. This is Tristen Alan Leritz, of White Bear Township. He's suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Vadnais Heights on Tuesday night. The woman was able to provide a detailed description. We asked for the public's help ID'ing him and got tips. Then: arrested.

We also helped package meals that were delivered to the 500 residents displaced to hotels.

A fire led to electrical damage that led to 1,500 people being evacuated from the 25-story Skyline Tower apartments in St. Paul. Today we were able to help a lot of them get back inside, get daily living creature comforts, and make sure they have what they need. Felt great.

We were out on Rice Street today, providing free meals and friendly conversation to people in the neighborhood around the Capitol. It’s our way of building connections and helping to keep the area safe.

It was just before 3 a.m. this morning when deputies pulled up to the intersection of Rice Street and County Road B. That's where they saw a 40-year-old man from Wyoming, Minn., starting a campfire inside a bus stop. He was taken into custody. The fire was put out.

This is Zuco. He's been busy lately. Saturday, he found a man on the run hiding on house's roof. On Tuesday, he tracked a would-be thief through a swamp, where the man gave up, telling deputies he was stuck in all the mud before being put in cuffs. Good boy, Zuco!

We took kids tubing on White Bear Lake this week. It’s a Minnesota rite of passage. And it was awesome!
