This affects us all, no matter what type of nurse you are, because who knows when you or your loved one will need to be admitted to a hospital that’s desperately under-staffed and unsafe…? As nurses we had a chance to change that and now it’s gone.

Today I hang up my Charge Nurse uniform after 7 years of working on Taylor Ward. How lucky am I to have found a place that brought so much purpose and meaning to my life? Inpatient Psychiatry is unlike any other place on Earth with the most intense highs and lows imaginable. 1/2
