I’ve just felt the need to send a massive appreciative email to 12’s school For slowly restoring my faith in educators . It needed acknowledging! We all know not all educators are assholes but many are Compassion above all else #inclusion #adhd

12 is having a tough time Bullies etc School listened Took action Gave her a safe space Helped with lessons in safe space Reported an issue to police Instant response during the day Let her leave school 15 mins early No blame , just help Safeguarding ❤️ #inclusion #adhd

True belonging happens when a pupil feels seen heard & understood. When we take time to hear their stories & the underlying issues that need to be resolved,school then will become a place of safety instead of distress.Staff who listen before judging & notices small moments.🧠🌱

I wish more people understood that trauma survivors are very often working hard to understand & accept their own reality, things they actually experienced. They don't need people who weren't there judging or questioning how accurate or traumatic their memories "really" are.
