To be honest, it’s much more. Already painting an helmet is your expected equipment coverage. Traveling will be 10k +, especially because you won’t travel alone if you are 14-15 years old. Then also besides races you ‘test’ almost every weekend because you need practice.+ damages

How mental is it that to race in a European Karting weekend you have to fork out €15k if you want to be with a competitive team.
If you did all the high-level international events (WSK, European & World Championship) you could spend close to 200,000€ in one year

To break it down:
Eur. Championship (4x): 60k total
World Championship: 20k
WSK (10 events): 100k total
Travel + accommodation: 5k total
Equipment (suit, helmet etc): 1k total
That equals out at approximately 186k
There absolutely needs to be more support from the higher levels

How large is the gap in cost between OK Senior and OK Junior? Would be interesting to know since it’ll obviously be different
