Just over a week ago we hosted the incredible humans from Queer Hiking Bristol on @Quantockhills History, hiking and how our heritage helps us consider the safe and unprejudiced spaces in the natural environment. Thanks @HeritageFundUK for making these connections possible ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ

Document of the month from @SomHeritage is this grant of property at Westleigh, #LydeardStLawrence, dated 1456. It describes the property & lists the members of the family who will inherit - deeds can be hard to read but can contain a lot of information. #Archives #HowOld

Sound up! Up at 4am for a beautiful dawn chorus walk at Holford, #QuantockHills #Somerset with @QuantockLPS, then breakfast at Combe House Hotel. Excited to spot a pied flycatcher, but the song thrushes and wrens were definitely on lead vocals! ๐ฆโโฌ๐ #nature #wildlife #birds

What a day to be an adder on @Quantockhills! ๐ท We spent Thursday morning with a team from @hinkleypointc joining us to look for adders sunbathing on the hills. The group found a gorgeous female and a freshly sloughed skin, thanks to some keen-eyed surveying. @HeritageFundUK

Do you remember our #ViewToAHill project? We asked for your favourite views of @Quantockhills last Spring. We've whittled down over 70 views to 12 and a crack team of volunteers have been researching the views all year. Can you guess where this picture was taken? ๐ธ Fiona Fyfe
