I never thought a Muslim woman can be in surgery until I started following you! There’s a huge culture stigma about this. Thank you for talking about it. Very inspirational MaShaaAllah 😭❤️

Had this Muslim brother/resident who was interested in me— until he found out I wanted to pursue surgery. He couldn’t imagine having a wife who worked more than him *eyeroll* thanks for your daily inspiration

My advisors tell me I shouldn't go into surgery bc I have an auto immune dz causing flares of weakness in my arms+legs. It's sad bc I really loved surgery and wish it was more accessible to not just women or woc, but a disabled woc - but it seems like I'm asking for too much
