As the parent organisation of BIGSOUND, QMusic considers behaviour like this to be inappropriate and not what is expected from delegates. We are working hard to shift expectations in the industry to stamp this out. Support is available, through QMUSIC, to any parties affected.
Last night a female artist showcasing at @BIGSOUNDtweets DM’d me after she’d been crying for hours. Apparently a label delegate informed her during an official meeting that, at age 24, she’s probably too old to “make it” now.
