38,000 have signed our petition. We need a GREAT grid upgrade. Pylons are not cheap. Instead: 1. Integrated offshore grid. 2. Upgrade the existing grid 3. HVDC underground All better/cheaper/more popular Read 'Leaders not Laggards': https://t.co/g89GmOvAxR

You CAN still stop the pylons but you do have to spend a few minutes telling the Planning Inspectorate what you have told #NationalGrid before! And ask your family and friends to. Website is: https://t.co/IEfwga0cTn Or scan the QR Code. 27th is November deadline. #NoPylons

@GreenPartyFinn @JosephW56436640 @PylonsEAnglia @NikkiMaguire22 Pylon projects: kill birds, disrupt farming, tear up habitat, destroy tourist businesses, cause house prices to plummet/make houses unsaleable. Apart from that they are not necessary, many better ways than building new pylons...

There are better alternatives. Let's have a GREAT grid upgrade, not one that just lines the pockets of National Grid's shareholders.

@PylonsEAnglia @mgshanks @CornwallInsight Absolutely not a grid of the future, aiming randomly for arbitrary 2030 net zero; piecemeal, no strategy, scratching around to make up for decades of lack of investment by National Grid

Do it. There are better solutions it’s just that good design, planning and implementation eat in to shareholders’ profit margins so they get their political puppets to push their preferred options through fast. Oppose then come help us in the Borders

@PylonsEAnglia @nationalgrid @ofgem Their shareholders must love them, but communities, nature, homeowners and our countryside don’t and are all being thrown under the bus in pursuit of this. Better long term options for upgrades must be pursued, to benefit both the shareholder AND our communities and countryside!
