Unfucking paralleled. The energy that was present during the countdown and launch of Artemis I was insane. Nothing has matched it since, IFT didn't even come close.
@Punished_Jess
Yeah this for real.
IFT-1 felt like a wow! moment, but I was mostly laughing at all the engines going out
IFT-2 had me actually shocked, I couldnโt believe the engines werenโt going out and it was actually doing it
(1/2)
@Punished_Jess
i dont know, i feel like knowing what starship will and can do along with knowing how long and how complicated starship took to be built, makes IFT-1 and 2 my fav launches
@Punished_Jess
I wish I had recorded my reaction. I was intimately watching all the prop load procedures & got really antsy when they had that leak. I was a mes of words when it lifted off, and I was up until 3:30 am that night (had a physics test in the morning) but I didn't care at all.
@Punished_Jess
I was 5miles away for Falcon Heavy maiden launch, that was amazing.
I was 7miles away for SLS, that, THAT WAS INSANE
It was so bright that it lit the beach up as if it was high noon
The shockwave was so intense people's chairs were rattling
FROM 7MILES AWAY
@Punished_Jess
I agree. It was like if Saturn and Shuttle had a baby, whichโฆcome to think of it thats what SLS is.
The launch was incredible! Starship felt more like a glorified Falcon 9 launch. However Artemis 1 you could feel everyone was just hoping for this mission to succeed!
@Punished_Jess
Starship Flight 2 only goes above because I saw it in person. The tower shot of Artemis 1 was crazy but seeing Starship lift off from just a few miles away, followed by hotstaging and the booster exploding was a whole different level of insane
@Punished_Jess
10 years late and $15 billion over budget better buy some internet fans..
In terms of excitement, Chandrayaan and both IFTs were far more exciting, notable and technically impressive.
