@ProfessorShaw I really don’t understand the minimizers, especially those on the left. Is it a pose, a sort of groupthink, an exhibition of a false ideological purity, a way of fashioning oneself as above (presumably psychologically addled) members of a mob of sorts?

@musicologyman I wish I understood it. Some of them seem to want to say "things in the US were bad already," but why be in denial that they could get much much worse very very fast now?
